Otunba Gbenga Daniel of Ogun East Senatorial District has extended warm birthday wishes to Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), as he marks his 65th birthday.

In his congratulatory message, the former Governor of Ogun State praised Dr. Adesina as one of Nigeria’s brightest minds, noting his consistent contributions to the nation’s pride, particularly in Ogun State and the historic Ijebu province.

“Dr. Adesina has demonstrated that you can mix the Omoluabi culture with the determination for excellence and hard work,” Senator Daniel remarked, referring to the Yoruba concept of moral character and good behavior.

The Senator wished Dr. Adesina and his family a fruitful celebration and good health as they commemorate this milestone.

Dr. Adesina, who has led the African Development Bank since 2015, has been widely recognized for his contributions to Africa’s development and agricultural transformation.
