GIGGLES, GAMES & GREATNESS: IBADAN’S MCENIES CHILDREN’S DAY IGNITES HOPE AND HAPPINESS.

Just hours ago, the vibrant city of Ibadan came alive with a heartwarming celebration of childhood at the McEnies Children’s Day Ibadan Celebration 2025. Held at 12A, Saka Agbaje Street, Aare Bodija, this event marked the second consecutive year of a gathering that has quickly become a beacon of joy and inspiration for children and families alike. Organized by McEnies Global Events in partnership with Perfect Clicks Signature, this year’s theme, “GIGGLES, GAMES & GREATNESS!” beautifully captured the spirit of the day.

The event brought together over 70 children and 40 adults, a significant increase from last year, underscoring the growing impact and heartfelt reception of this annual celebration. The atmosphere was electric with laughter, games, and heartfelt moments as children from various backgrounds came together to celebrate their potential and the greatness within each of them.

Commenting on the event, Dr. Omolaraeni Olaosebikan, CEO of McEnies Global Events, said, “Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of these children reminds us why we do this. Every child deserves to feel special, to know their worth, and to dream big. This event is more than just a celebration; it’s a declaration that greatness lives in every child here.”

She went on to say, “We are incredibly grateful for the growing support and participation that has made this event a success once again. It’s inspiring to witness how the message of greatness resonates with our children, lighting a fire of confidence and hope in their hearts.”

Looking forward, Dr. Olaosebikan shared, “We are committed to making McEnies Children’s Day an even more amazing and exciting experience every year. We will continue to reach out to potential sponsors and partners who share our passion for empowering children so that together, we can make this celebration a lasting memory for generations to come.”

Central to the celebration were the inspiring talks delivered by two distinguished speakers: Dr. Olayinka Abimbola Egbokhare, a Lecturer at the Department of Communications and Language Arts, University of Ibadan, and the Very Reverend Abiodun Felix Ogunbisi of the Immanuel College of Theology and Christian Education, Ibadan. Both speakers engaged the children with warmth and wisdom on the theme “Greatness is in you,” encouraging every child to recognize their unique value and the endless possibilities that lie ahead. Their messages resonated deeply, planting seeds of confidence and hope.

The event also showcased moving performances from the attending orphanage homes, Tabitha Home Orphanage Home and Kent Home, Ibadan. Their talents added a special touch of community and spirit to the day, reminding everyone present of the power of inclusion and shared celebration.

The success of the event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors who shared in the vision of uplifting children. Fan Milk, a subsidiary of Danone, delighted the children with an abundance of their dairy products, while World Lilies Events Place, Ibadan, under the chairmanship of Mr. Abiodun Adediran Olatunji SAN, provided significant support. Other sponsors included PG Security, Ibadan, Brain Center, Ibadan Cake Zone Ibadan, Techrands online news platform, and McEnies Global Communications. Their contributions ensured a smooth, joyful, and memorable experience for all attendees.

A highlight of the day was the heartfelt reactions from participants. Ezekiel Amolegbe, a child from Tabitha Orphanage Home, said, “I enjoyed every bit of today—the games, the stories, and the friends I made. I can’t wait for next year’s celebration!” This enthusiasm was echoed by parents in attendance. Mr. Olasunmbo Kehinde, who brought eleven children, expressed, “This event was wonderful. It’s a day my children will remember, and we’re already looking forward to 2026.” Ms. Olabode Abijo, who brought five children, added, “The joy and learning my children experienced today are priceless. The anticipation for next year’s McEnies Children’s Day is already building in our hearts.”

As the sun set on this remarkable day, one thing was clear: the McEnies Children’s Day Ibadan Celebration has not only grown in size but in heart and impact. The promise for future editions is bold and bright, pledging to continue delivering even more amazing and exciting experiences that nurture the spirit, mind, and soul of every child.

For Ibadan’s children, the message rings true—greatness is indeed within them, and this celebration is a joyful reminder of the boundless potential they carry into the future.
