Nigeria Fintech Week holds October, focus on ecosystem synergy
The Fintech Association of Nigeria has announced the return of Nigeria Fintech Week, scheduled for October 7 to 9, 2025, with a renewed focus on ecosystem synergy to drive financial innovation and inclusion across the country.
While speaking at a press conference recently in Lagos, the President of the Fintech Association of Nigeria, Dr. Stanley Jacob, said the 8th edition of the event, themed “The Fintech Ecosystem Symphony: Orchestrating Nigeria’s Digital Future’, aims to foster deeper collaboration between regulators, startups, investors, corporates, and government agencies.
“We are no longer just an association; we are a movement,” Jacob said. “NFW25 is where partnerships will be born, sectors will be reimagined, and Nigeria’s digital economy will be orchestrated like a grand symphony.”
First held in 2017, Nigeria Fintech Week has grown to become one of the continent’s most influential platforms for fintech policy advocacy, industry dialogue, and investment mobilisation. This year’s edition is expected to host more than 20,000 stakeholders from various industries, including finance, health, education, agriculture, and technology.
In a major shift, the organisers disclosed that the 2025 edition would adopt a multi-location format, with satellite events in Abuja, Enugu, and Delta State, while the main conference will take place at the Landmark Centre in Lagos.
Vice President and Chair of the NFW25 Organising Committee, Dr. Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun, said the expansion to multiple cities was designed to make the event more accessible and inclusive.
“Fintech is no longer for a select few. From the aviation sector to agriculture, from secondary school students to startup founders, this year, everyone has a seat at the table,” she said.
Chief Operating Officer of SANE, Uche Uzoebo, also noted that fintech now cuts across every sector.
“Even food companies, schools, and churches are now digitising. NFW25 is where they find solutions and partnerships,” she said.
Organisers say this year’s programme will feature panel sessions, policy roundtables, product showcases, and networking opportunities aimed at accelerating Nigeria’s fintech-led digital economy.
