    4th Coronation Anniversary: Olu Of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse lll Offers Thanksgiving To God For Success Of Event

    The Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse lll was joined by his subjects to offer appreciation to God Almighty for the success of the fourth Coronation anniversary events.

    While speaking at the ceremony on Sunday, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse lll said, he thanked God for the success of the week long programme.

    According to him, God has continued to take charge of the affairs of the kingdom since he took over the reign of his fore bearers four years ago.

    “The affairs of this kingdom remain firmly in God’s hands,” he said.

    The Royal father said God Almighty has continued to fight unseen battles for the kingdom, just as he asked God to continue to help the people of the world to know that He is the Almighty God.

    His words: “Thank you for the battles we have seen, thank you for the battles that we did not even know were going on but you have been there. Continue to demonstrate to the world that you reign and rule in the affairs of the kingdom.”

    The Monarch asked God to accept his praises and thanks for the protection and preservation of the life of his people and the kingdom.

    In his remarks, Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori expressed gratitude to God Almighty who enabled the monarch celebrate his 4th year on the throne.

    He said the reign of the king has brought blessings to the people in particular and Delta State at large.

    He said: “We rejoice with the Itsekiri nation for the monarch whose reign has brought blessings to his people and to Delta State.”

    According to Governor Oborevwori, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse lll has been able to prove his worth within four years of his reign by uniting the people, has brought peace to Warri kingdom and improved on the cultural values of the people.

    He added:” Your Majesty, in just four years, you have proven your self as a bridge builder and a true champion of sustainable developement…” Your faith in God and devotion to your people reflects Proverbs 29:2 that says when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.”

    Governor Oborevwori who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu told the people to emulate the monarch whom he described as a bridge builder, just as he admonished them to cooperate with him to move the Iwere land to the next level.

    The programme which was well attended by sons and daughters of the kingdom from home and abroad, top government functionaries and others, featured songs from Iwere Praise and Royal Iwere choir, dances and prayers for the king, the kingdom and the state at large.
