Yuletide: Adeboye, wife encourage Nigerians to embrace joy at Christmas

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, and his wife, Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye, have expressed warm Yuletide greetings to Nigerians, urging them to embrace joy, health, and success in the coming year.

In a Christmas message posted on X on Thursday, they thanked God for preserving Nigerians through the past year and guiding them into the new year.

“Beloved, as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we give thanks to God, the Alpha and the Omega, for preserving you through the passing year and bringing you into a new one.

“May this season usher you into a year of glory, where every form of shame, distress, failure, sickness, and pain is far from you,” the post read.

The clerics also called on Nigerians to be filled with renewed spiritual hunger, the anointing to achieve remarkable feats, and the wisdom and grace to walk in God’s purpose.

They expressed hope that only good news would be heard from and concerning Nigerians throughout the year.

“As we celebrate Christmas and look forward with hope, may you be found ready, steadfast, and faithful in Christ,” the statement added.

The message concluded with the Adeboyes wishing all a Merry Christmas and a “Glorious New Year.”
