inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform active in 48 countries, has been ranked the world’s second-most-downloaded ride-hailing app for the fourth consecutive year, according to market intelligence firm Sensor Tower.
The report also showed that inDrive rose to fourth place globally in travel app downloads, up from fifth in 2023, reflecting growing user engagement as the company expands its services and transitions towards a super app model.
Since its launch, the inDrive app, known for its peer-to-peer pricing model allowing drivers and riders to agree on fares, has been downloaded over 400 million times and is now available in 1,065 cities worldwide, facilitating more than 8 billion transactions.
The platform was ranked number one in the travel category by downloads in nine countries, including new entrants such as Peru and Pakistan, and placed among the top three most-downloaded travel apps in 22 countries.
In 2025, InDrive accelerated its expansion beyond ride-hailing, introducing services such as intercity transportation, courier and grocery delivery, and financial services. This diversification, aimed at meeting more of users’ daily needs, has driven deeper engagement and underpinned the platform’s continued global momentum.
Technology, including AI and advanced analytics, supports this evolution by enabling personalised and seamless user experiences. From machine learning that addresses mapping gaps and delivers accurate ETAs to predictive analytics that anticipate user needs, these tools are central to the platform’s growth. At the same time, the company maintains user control over pricing decisions, consistent with its focus on fairness through choice.
The Sensor Tower report underscores the growing importance of super app ecosystems as a driver of ride-hailing growth, particularly in emerging markets, where users increasingly rely on platforms for multiple services.
Commenting on the milestone, the founder/CEO of inDrive, Arsen Tomsky, said, “Maintaining our position as the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app for a fourth consecutive year is a powerful validation of the value inDrive delivers to its users every day.
“This recognition reflects the trust people place in our platform and the continued dedication of our global team. As inDrive evolves into a super app, we remain focused on our core principles of fairness, transparency, and user choice, while expanding access to services that make a meaningful difference in people’s daily lives.”
The ranking further cements inDrive’s position as a leading player in the global mobility and urban services sector, demonstrating strong adoption across Africa, continued growth in Nigeria, and increasing traction in markets worldwide.
