Central Bank of Nigeria: Dormant account owners to receive interests on deposits invested in T-bills in 10 days The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will invest dormant account deposits in treasury bills, bonds and other securities, and owners of such accounts will receive their principals and interests within 10 days of request. This was revealed in a circular entitled, ‘Guidelines on Management of Dormant Accounts, Unclaimed Balances, and Other Financial Assets in Banks and Other Financial Institutions in Nigeria,’ released by the CBN on Friday. CNG: FG to distribute 30,000 conversion kits to commercial drivers Mr Michael Oluwagbemi, Chief Executive Officer/Programme Director, Presidential Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Initiative, says 30,000 CNG conversion kits have been procured to be distributed to commercial drivers within 90 days. Oluwagbemi disclosed this at the Park-to–Park CNG Conversion Mobilisation on Saturday in Lagos. Medical outreach: USA-based medical outreach commences free treatment for 4,000 in Anambra USA-based Anambra family from the Ogidi community, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state on Friday commenced a two-day free medical outreach with 1500 beneficiaries out of 4000 targeted.
