Next Cash & Carry, one of Abuja’s popular shopping destinations, has officially reopened its venue to the public nearly five years after it was shut down following a devastating fire incident.
The retail outlet, located along Ahmadu Bello Way in the Jahi/Kado area of Abuja, was forced to close after a major fire burned parts of the facility in December 2021.
Its reopening has been welcomed by customers and residents who had come to associate the store with shopping, household supplies and other retail services.
The reopening also marks the return of a familiar commercial landmark to the Abuja retail scene after years of reconstruction and uncertainty over its future.
A visit to the facility following its reopening showed a significantly refreshed environment, with the premises given a new look as the business resumes operations.
