The business school aims to raise men and women of integrity in the marketplace.

The wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Folu Adeboye, says Redeemer’s University Business School was established to raise men and women of integrity in the business world.

This is contained in a statement issued by the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Adetunji Adeleye, on Friday in Osogbo.

According to the statement, Adeboye made this known during the inauguration of the Redeemer’s University Business School, located at Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun.

She noted that the efforts put into establishing the school would position it as a world-class institution in executive business education in Nigeria.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Redeemer’s University Business School, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, stated that the school was not just another addition to executive business education.

Ogundipe said the institution was a necessary response to the need for strong men and women of integrity in a world where such virtues are increasingly rare.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Shadrach Akindele, thanked the newly appointed board members of the Redeemer’s University Business School, including corporate leaders, for accepting the mandate to grow the institution into a leading force in the industry.

Similarly, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university, Pastor Kayode Pitan, said the business school aimed to raise men and women of integrity to excel in the marketplace.

“We want to have men and women with integrity, people trusting God to do exploits in the marketplace.

“We have an excellent curriculum, but more importantly, we will produce people that God will use to change this nation for the better,” he said.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Morgan Bank, Mr Ade Buraimo, expressed delight at being one of the newly inaugurated board members.

Buraimo assured that members of the board, many of whom had studied in top-rated global business schools such as Harvard, would bring their experience to bear on the operations of the school.

“We will take advantage of our proximity to the commercial nerve centre of the country, Lagos.

“We will bring our wealth of knowledge into the management of the business school to ensure that all our graduates are not only professionally excellent technocrats but also morally sound,” he said.

According to the statement, the business school was inaugurated on April 2.
