Former Big Brother Naija housemate Sultana has paid a courtesy visit to Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu, where she expressed her readiness to support the state’s tourism development drive, particularly through cultural promotion and creative industry engagement.
During the visit, Sultana proposed serving as a tourism ambassador for Cross River State, saying she is willing to use her platform to promote the state’s cultural assets, including flagship events such as Carnival Calabar. She noted that Cross River’s growing investments in infrastructure and tourism make it a strong hub for creative and cultural expansion.
Governor Otu welcomed her visit and praised her achievements, describing her as a positive representation of the state’s youth in the entertainment industry. He said the state government is actively working to strengthen its creative economy and reposition Cross River as a leading destination for tourism and cultural experiences in Nigeria.
The governor also commended her willingness to contribute to state development and assured her of government support, adding that discussions would continue to formalize areas of collaboration involving relevant stakeholders.
Both parties expressed optimism that the partnership could enhance Cross River’s visibility nationally and internationally, especially in tourism promotion and cultural branding initiatives.
