‘Remi x Nneoma’: Liz Benson, Eucharia Anunobi, Tina Mba, part of star-studded cast

The cast in Remi x Nneoma

Megastarmagazine – Award-winning actress, producer, and cultural advocate Bikiya Graham-Douglas has once again shown her commitment to women-led narratives and culturally authentic filmmaking with her latest project, ‘Remi x Nneoma’.

The drama, co-produced by Bikiya and executive-produced by Solate Ovundah-Akarolo of Five Two Media Productions, assembles an impressive cast that blends Nollywood legends with a new generation of talent.

Screen icons Liz Benson, Eucharia Anunobi, Tina Mba, Bisola Aiyeola, Uche Montana, and Martha Ehinome star alongside accomplished male actors Kunle Coker, Kelechi Udegbe, Ifeanyi Kalu, Charles Born, Patrick Dante, Buchi Franklin, Soibifaa Dokubo, and Ovunda Ihunwo. Bikiya herself also plays a key role in the production, further cementing her reputation as one of Nollywood’s most versatile creatives.

Behind the scenes, Remi x Nneoma boasts a formidable creative team. Directed by Lindsey Efejuku with a script penned by Adelarin Awotedu and Priye Diri, the film has already attracted international attention.

Nile Entertainment recently acquired its global rights, a move that positions the project to reach audiences far beyond Africa’s borders.

The film builds on Bikiya’s recent success with For Amina, a moving, female-centred drama that won her Best Actress at the Stockholm City Film Festival and the Audience Choice Award at Nollywood Week Film Festival in Paris earlier this year. Her trajectory has firmly established her as a visionary voice committed to impactful, women-driven storytelling.

However, Bikiya’s creative mission extends beyond gender representation. Through her productions, she is deliberately amplifying voices from minority tribes and exploring cross-cultural narratives. In For Amina, she depicted the relationship between a Hausa man and a Kalabari woman, highlighting bilingual traditions and cultural intersections. With Remi x Nneoma, she turns her focus to the Yoruba and Ikwerre tribes, weaving themes of love and identity into a story that honours Nigeria’s diversity.

Speaking on her motivation, Bikiya said: “I come from a minority tribe in Nigeria, and that has only strengthened my resolve to honour our cultures and identities. The more I discover about tribes like mine, the more I am compelled to tell their stories. Through my work, the voices of Ijaw, Nupe, Nok, Ogoni, Fulfulde, Igala and many others will rise, woven into narratives that celebrate heritage, preserve tradition, and shine a light on the richness of Nigeria’s diverse tapestry.”

With its carefully curated cast, cultural depth, and powerful narrative, Remi x Nneoma is set not only to elevate Nollywood’s global profile but also to reinforce Bikiya Graham-Douglas’ enduring legacy as an actress, producer, and cultural advocate dedicated to innovation and inclusivity.
