Talented Favour Ndukwe speaks on inspiration behind ‘I Love You Mama’ song
Nigerian songstress Favour Ndukwe has opened up about the inspiration behind writing her brand new song, which she titles ‘I Love You Mama’.
The sensational singer, who opened up in a recent interview, said that the song was inspired by her late mother, Uzoma Samuel Ndukwe, who died on February 3, 2017.
Favour, who mentioned Christy Essien Igbokwe as one of those who inspired her to become a musician, also stated that she has never lost connection with her late mother.
She said, “My new track ‘I Love You Mama’ was inspired by the love of my late mother, Uzoma Samuel Ndukwe, who died on February 3, 2017.
The talented musician, who is currently based abroad, revealed that her biggest career highlight was when she had a stage dance with the late Sonny Okosun.
She said, “I remember taking part in a stage dance with the late Sonny Okosun. I remember him telling me never to stop singing. He told me I would travel around the world, but I never knew how it would happen, but it is now coming to pass.
Favour also talked about her trip abroad and how it has been able to open her eyes to many things, as well as the opportunity to study and work abroad to better herself.
She said, ‘‘Traveling abroad has opened me up to more opportunities like studying and working. I worked in the health care sector, and after some time, I got involved in the data security sector. Living abroad was quite challenging in the first two years, but thank God I am stable now and looking forward to creating more good music’’.
The versatile singer, who is working on her debut collection, also noted that she sees music taking her as far as Argentina, as it is her dream to tour the world with her brand of music.
When asked about her hopes and dreams for the next five years, Favour informed that she cannot really predict the future, but she hopes to make an impact in the lives of people around her.
“I grow up every day, and for now, I can’t really say where I would be or what I would become in the next five years, but I hope to keep adding value to humanity and myself.” She said with emphasis.
