Former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has maintained that his children will have to build their own lives and careers, despite reportedly giving his daughter, Venezuela Fury, and her husband Noah Price a £5 million wedding gift.
The couple, who recently got married in a lavish ceremony on the Isle of Man, were also said to have received a fully funded honeymoon in Marbella from Fury. Reports claimed the honeymoon alone cost around £30,000.
Although Fury is believed to have amassed a fortune estimated at roughly £148 million through boxing, endorsements and media ventures, he has repeatedly stated that he does not intend to simply hand his wealth over to his children.
Speaking previously about parenting and money, Fury explained that he wants his children to work hard and become independent rather than grow up relying on inherited wealth. According to the boxer, giving children unlimited access to money could make them spoiled and prevent them from appreciating the value of hard work.
Fury used the example of buying a young driver an expensive sports car immediately after passing a driving test, arguing that such gifts are not only dangerous but can also stop children from valuing what they own. He said he would rather see his children earn modest possessions themselves because they would appreciate them more.
However, Fury also made clear that he is willing to support his children in practical ways, particularly through business opportunities and investments, while still expecting them to put in effort and build their own futures.
The wedding of Venezuela Fury and Noah Price attracted major public attention, with reports claiming the celebration featured extravagant spending, including a wedding dress said to cost around £40,000. Singer Peter Andre reportedly performed during the reception.
According to reports, Fury also gifted the newlyweds a traditional gypsy wagon as a sentimental family present. The couple are expected to settle into a new home in East Yorkshire after returning from their honeymoon.
Despite the luxury surrounding the wedding celebrations, Fury’s comments suggest he remains committed to teaching his children discipline, independence and self-reliance rather than allowing them to depend entirely on family wealth
