Mami Chula Beach: Sanwo-Olu, Elegushi, Oniru, others attend opening
The grand opening of Mami Chula Beach Lifestyle took place on Friday, February 16, in Oniru, Lagos, attracting a host of notable personalities.
Among the attendees were the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, Oba Saheed Elegushi (Oba Elegushi), who presided over the event, Oba Abdulwasiu Lawal (Oba Oniru), the chief host and socialite, Pretty Mike.
King of Fuji music, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal also dazzled at the event as he brought his A game as usual to the merriment of the guests.
Sanwo-Olu, speaking through the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, expressed enthusiasm for the new establishment. He emphasized the government’s commitment to leveraging the tourism and entertainment sector for socio-economic growth, aiming to position Lagos as the premier tourist destination in Africa.
“This commissioning is therefore not just a celebration; it is a major boost towards achieving the goal of our developmental agenda in the “Entertainment and Tourism Pillar” which is to position Lagos as the premier tourist destination in Africa. Mami Chula Beach Lifestyle Center enriches our cultural tapestry while offering a haven for relaxation and recreation, contributing to a vibrant and dynamic Lagos.
“As we commemorate this momentous occasion,we celebrate the spirit of unity and progress that led up to today. I am confident that the Mami Chula Beach Lifestyle Center will become a cornerstone of leisure and recreation, serving as a catalyst for positive transformation in our community,” said Sanwo Olu.
The event, hosted by popular comedian and event compere, Ushbebe, featured discussions and presentations highlighting the vision and amenities of Mami Chula Beach Lifestyle.
Bolaji Ariyo, CEO of Mami Chula, described the venue as more than just a beach, but a complete experience. He highlighted its five-star restaurant, Honey Club, and Cielo Rooftop Lounge, designed to offer guests luxury and exclusivity at an affordable price.
Ariyo said: “This will serve as a place that people will love to come. Even in this same room you are in, we can change the ambience. All we need to do is switch off some lights, and we will change the ambience, and it will be different. It is somewhere you want to come with your loved ones, or your partner, your wife, and so on, that you really want to enjoy when you come by.”
