Nigeria is set to host a major convergence of global agro-industry stakeholders as the Agrofood Nigeria 2026 returns to the Landmark Centre from March 24 to 26, bringing renewed focus to food security, innovation, and sustainable agricultural practices.
Organisers confirmed that this year’s edition will feature the Netherlands as the official guest of honor, with a strong delegation showcasing advanced technologies aimed at improving cold-chain logistics and modern food packaging systems. These solutions are expected to address Nigeria’s persistent post-harvest losses, which experts say significantly impact food availability and pricing. “The participation of the Netherlands highlights the importance of international collaboration in tackling food inefficiencies,” an event coordinator said.
The exhibition will host a wide range of local and international companies across the agriculture, food processing, packaging, and hospitality sectors, providing a platform for business networking, knowledge exchange, and investment opportunities. Industry players are expected to unveil innovations designed to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve supply chain resilience. “Agrofood Nigeria continues to serve as a catalyst for transformation within the agro-industrial sector,” a stakeholder noted.
Dutch exhibitors are anticipated to present cutting-edge refrigeration technologies, smart storage systems, and sustainable packaging solutions tailored to emerging markets. “Our focus is on practical innovations that can be adapted locally to reduce food loss and improve efficiency across the value chain,” a representative from the Dutch delegation stated.
Participants will also engage in conferences and technical sessions addressing key challenges such as climate impact on agriculture, financing for agribusiness, and digital transformation in food systems. “This platform allows stakeholders to align on strategies that will strengthen Nigeria’s food systems and drive long-term growth,” an industry expert said.
Government officials and private sector leaders have expressed optimism that the event will further strengthen Nigeria’s position as a regional hub for agro-industrial development. “By bringing together global expertise and local talent, Agrofood Nigeria is helping to shape the future of agriculture in the country,” an official remarked.
As preparations intensify ahead of the three-day event, expectations remain high that the exhibition will deliver actionable solutions and partnerships capable of addressing some of Nigeria’s most pressing agricultural challenges.
