Anele Moving Around With Bodyguards On The Campus of Rivers State University
Tongues are set waggling on social media on Anele Miracle, the Students Union Government president of Rivers State University that was caught on camera trending with bodyguards.
Who Is Anele Miracle?
Anele is a 300 Level student of the Department of Sociology who was elected on October 14, 2022.
He was inaugurated on January 30, 2023 as the SUG President of RSU, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Why Is Anele Moving Around With Bodyguards On The Campus?
According to him, he decided to add more value to the office to make sure its beauty comes out hence the bodyguards who he has clarified are students and not hired from outside.
Anele claims he has just two security aides as seen in the pictures and they are his Chief Security Officer and aide-de-camp.
In his words,
“They are not armed bodyguards, they are normal students. You know the position of the office of the President is accompanied by a lot of respect and dignity. So for me, I decided to add more value to the office just to make sure that the beauty of the office comes out.”
“They are Man O’ War officials assigned to work with me.”
Though the attention of majority of the public recently was drawn to the now viral photos through Instablog, the images was first shared on May 5 2023 by Voice of Port Harcourt on twitter which also attracted much criticism from respondents.

There is what is called, “Political Culture & Political Socialization .”
In October 2021, the then SUG president Ogan Ray reportedly appointed 38 personal aides. This was even coming a few days after the SUG president of the sister state, Akwa Ibom – University of Uyo appointed 18 personal aides.
Also in 2022, the SUG President, Comrade Apollos Ogan was commended over the reconstruction of a car park in the university which was named in honour of High Chief O. B. Lulu-Briggs.
