Fashion Designing has always been my desire-Adeniyi Deborah
The beautiful and multi-talented lady, Adeniyi Deborah Oluwaseun, who was an alumnus of the University of Ilorin, where she had her Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology told our correspondent how she found passion for fashion design from an early age.
Her parent enrolled her in fashion school at an early age and brought her a sewing machine so that she could be productive.
She also told our reporter that she is now privileged to own a beautiful fashion house in Jabi, a popular metropolis in Abuja, where she makes premium clothing for men and women and custom-made ready-to-wear clothes.
However, when our reporter asked about sales, she replied with a sincere gesture and a cheerful smile on her face, saying that she had recorded nothing less than 100 sales both locally and across the world(UK, Canada & Qatar) where she had her clientele.
She also told our reporter that being a fashion designer is hard work. That a lazy person can’t do fashion design because it comes with a lot of dedication and sacrifice.
‘’ The journey so far has been quite challenging, but God has made me record a higher percentage of success through consistency, aggressive marketing, and prayers.’’
When our reporter asked her about her plan for the future, she laughed languorously and replied with hopes that the future would be brighter than the present.
‘’ In 5-10 years, I see myself doing exceptionally well in the fashion industry, making people comfortable and confident with my clothing and also having branches of fashion houses across states of the federation ‘’
Meanwhile, our reporter asked about the brain drain in the country and the high rate of unemployment, but she cautiously advised the younger generation whom people refer to as a ‘’ lazy youth ‘’ not to be distracted by whatever opinion the world might have against them, but rather they should focus more on their goals in life, utilize their current situation for proper planning and strategy about their big plans.
‘’ They should also learn a skill and start up something as little as they can. And after that, they should be consistent with it. Hence, with time, massive results will surface if they do not give up. ‘’
