President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has submitted his INEC nomination form to the APC NWC unveiling Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 presidential election.
Tinubu made the declaration through Ibrahim Masari, his Special Adviser on Political Affairs, who also submitted Shettima’s nomination form during a brief event attended by APC leaders at the Continental Hotel in Abuja.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside top party leaders, had met at the Continental Hotel in Abuja to formally present Shettima.
The development comes amid months of speculation that President Tinubu might replace Shettima with a northern Christian as his vice-presidential candidate ahead of the election.
