Wolverhampton Wanderers have secured the £24 million signing of Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare from Genk, the club announced on September 1, 2025.

The 6ft 6in forward, who claimed the Belgian Pro League Golden Boot last season, has penned a four-year deal at Molineux to strengthen Wolves’ attacking lineup.

According to BBC Sports on Monday, the 24-year-old, who scored 21 goals in the Belgian Pro League last season, will support forward Jorgen Strand Larsen, with Wolves having turned down £50m and £55m bids from Newcastle for the Norwegian last week.

Arokodare’s arrival comes as Wolves aim to climb from the bottom of the Premier League table after losing their opening three games of the 2025/26 season.

He moved to Valmiera from Nigeria in 2019, scoring 22 goals in 34 games.

Arokodare was loaned out to FC Koln in the Bundesliga before joining French side Amiens, spending two years on loan and scoring 21 times.

He has played five times for Genk this season, scoring once.
