Netflix will broadcast men’s World Cup of 2030.
Netflix has acquired the rights to air the 2030 men’s World Cup in Spain and Andorra, becoming the first subscription streaming service to show the tournament.
The platform said it will carry all 104 matches live. It also confirmed that one game on each matchday will be available to watch for free in Spain.
Spain, the reigning champion, will co-host the 2030 event with Portugal and Morocco. Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay will also stage matches as part of the tournament’s centenary celebrations.
The U.S.-based subscription service added that all of Spain’s matches and the final will remain available on free-to-air television in Spain.
Netflix has previously shown live sports in the UK, including WWE programming, NFL games and boxing. In December, it will broadcast the all-British heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
The company also holds rights to the 2027 and 2031 Women’s World Cup in the United States and Canada.
