Toure Hails Super Eagle’s Star: ‘He’s Quick, Super Powerful’

Former Arsenal defender, Kolo Toure has hailed Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen ahead of Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, final clash with Ivory Coast on Sunday.

Toure said Osimhen is super powerful, adding that the Napoli attacker is quick.

Osimhen, who has scored one goal at the 2023 AFCON, has been impressive for Nigeria so far at the tournament.

The 25-year-old is said to be causing havoc for defenders so far.

Speaking about the Nigerian, Toure told the BBC World Service on Friday: “He is a super powerful player, he’s got unbelievable speed.

“He has scored only one goal so far but what he brings to that team is incredible.”

He added, “As soon as Nigeria has the ball they will look for Osimhen in the space because he is super quick. They need to be really ready for the ball, and just anticipate that and run behind as fast as they can.”
