Agbolayah Charts a New Course for Community Development in Delta State
The Special Adviser to Governor of Delta State on Community Development, Amb. Dr. Toyin Agbolayah convened his first meeting with Senior Special Assistants (SSA), Special Assistants (SA), and Executive Assistants (EA) on Community Development. This meeting marked the official start of his tenure as the newly appointed Special Adviser to the Delta State Government.
Amb. Dr. Toyin Agbolayah began the meeting by expressing his sincere appreciation to the Governor of Delta State for entrusting him with the crucial role of Special Adviser. He pledged to execute his duties with dedication and integrity, contributing positively to the state’s community development initiatives.
The formal handover of files to Amb.Dr Toyin Agbolayah by the head of administration Festus Adilike in the Office of Community Development was a key part of the meeting. This process underscores the importance of continuity in government efforts, ensuring that ongoing projects are maintained and new initiatives can build on existing foundations.
Agbolayah called on all political appointees involved in community development to embrace unity and collaboration. He emphasized that only through collective effort and mutual support can the desired outcomes for the communities be achieved. Productivity and teamwork were highlighted as essential elements for success.
A focal point of Amb. Dr. Agbolayah’s strategy involves encouraging political appointees to actively engage with companies within their communities. He stressed the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in driving community development, noting that the government cannot achieve societal development alone. Collaborating with the private sector is crucial for sustainable growth.
Amb. Dr. Agbolayah articulated his ambitious vision to set a new benchmark as the most effective Special Adviser in Delta State’s history. He committed to ensuring that all aspects of his responsibilities are executed flawlessly, with a particular focus on fostering empowerment and driving progress in collaboration with other governmental bodies.
In his final remarks, Amb. Dr. Agbolayah underscored his commitment to youth development. He promised that during his tenure, efforts to advance the welfare and opportunities for young people in Delta State would be relentless. He firmly stated that no obstacles would be allowed to impede the development of the state’s youth.
The meeting concluded with a charge to the ( appointees) SSAs, SAs, and EAs, to be committed , dedicated and always think out of the box for meaningful development and progress to be achieved in Delta State.
