Brain Jotter named Best Social Media Content Creator, Taaooma wins awards
Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie, popularly known as Brain Jotter, has been named the Overall Best Social Media Content Creator at the 2024 Social Media Awards ceremony held recently in Lagos.
The prestigious event ecognized outstanding individuals and brands that have made significant contributions to the Nigerian digital landscape.
Brain Jotter, renowned for his captivating content, outshined other nominees to claim the top honour. His creative work has consistently captivated social media audiences, earning him widespread recognition and admiration.
Other notable winners at the 2024 SMA include, Maryam Apaokagi, aka, Taaooma, who won the Instagram Content Creator of the Year; Mark Angel, who clinched the Best Facebook Content Creator of the Year award; Tacha, who emerged the Social Media Influencer of the Year; and Ruth Kadiri, won the Best Youtube Content Creator of the Year.
In the brand category, Arise TV clinched the Most Engaging TV Station on Social Media award, while Wazobia FM (95.1 FM) emerged as the winner of the Most Engaging Radio Station on Social Media.
In his opening speech, Emmanuel Nwafor, the convener of the SMA and chief executive of Alternative Adverts Limited expressed gratitude to partners and sponsors for their continued support. He highlighted the theme of the event, “The Spotlight,” emphasizing the celebration of exceptional individuals and brands that have inspired and captivated audiences.
Nwafor also announced the addition of new categories to the awards, reflecting the evolving landscape of social media. He stressed the importance of social media in connecting, uplifting, and empowering individuals and communities.
Dr. Maxwell Nzekwe, co-convener of the SMA, noted that the awards have had a significant impact on the careers of past winners, shaping the way they utilize social media to promote their content.
