Rite Foods Strengthens Support For Cultural Heritage With Sponsorship Of 2025 Ojude Oba Festival

Rite Foods Limited, Nigeria’s leading manufacturer of quality beverages and sausages, proudly announces its continued sponsorship of the iconic Ojude Oba Festival 2025. This year’s celebration, themed “Ojude Oba: Celebrating Our Roots, Preserving Our Future,” is tentatively scheduled for June 8, 2025, subject to the sighting of the moon.

Held annually in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, the Ojude Oba Festival is a vibrant cultural event that pays homage to the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, attracting thousands of indigenes and tourists from across the globe. For Rite Foods, this partnership is more than sponsorship, it is a reaffirmation of the company’s deep-rooted connection to the Ijebu people and a commitment to preserving Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.

Speaking at the official press conference, Chief Oluneye B. Okuboyejo, Obasewa of Ijebu and Chairman of the Ojude Oba Festival Organising Committee, emphasized the cultural significance of this year’s theme:

“The theme chosen for the 2025 edition of the festival, after a robust brainstorming session, is ‘Ojude Oba: Celebrating Our Roots, Preserving Our Future.’ The theme is hinged on the unwavering focus of the Ijebu on our rich cultural heritage, which keeps growing in leaps and bounds while unremitting energies are collectively channeled towards bequeathing our most cherished culture to future generations. Thus, the choice of the 2025 theme resonates a constant reminiscence of our cultural identity and our uniqueness as a people.”

Also speaking at the press conference, Adedotun Ajibade, Media and Insights Manager at Rite Foods, reiterated the brand’s long-standing bond with the Ijebu community:

“This partnership is not just a sponsorship for us—it is a responsibility. Our roots are here. Our journey as a proudly Nigerian brand began here, and our story remains intertwined with the spirit, culture, and people of Ijebu. Ojude Oba is more than a festival—it is a cultural institution that embodies unity, royalty, heritage, and community pride—values that align closely with ours.”

As always, Rite Foods will refresh and energize festival attendees with its award-winning range of products, including Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks (available in 13 exciting flavours), Bigi Premium Drinking Water, the energy-boosting Fearless Energy Drink (in Classic and Red Berry), Sosa Fruit Drinks (in five refreshing variants), and the tasty Bigi and Rite Sausages.

Through its unwavering support of the Ojude Oba Festival, Rite Foods continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to empowering local businesses, creating job opportunities, and promoting Nigerian culture and values.

The company also expressed its sincere appreciation to His Royal Majesty, the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Alaiyeluwa Ọba (Dr) Sikiru Kayọde Adetọna, GCON, J.P, and the entire Ojude Oba Festival Committee for their tireless work in sustaining and promoting the Ijebu cultural legacy.

As a proudly Nigerian company, Rite Foods Limited remains committed to fostering national pride, strengthening community bonds, and building a brighter future through cultural preservation and community engagement.
