Benin Summit Group Rejoices with Oba Ewuare II on His Birthday and 9th Coronation Anniversary
With hearts aglow in reverence and joy, the Benin Summit Group (BSG) has joined millions of Benin sons and daughters at home and abroad in celebrating His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, CFR, on the auspicious occasion of his birthday and the 9th anniversary of his glorious coronation upon the ancient and sacred throne of the Great Benin Kingdom.
In a message signed by its Convener, Earl Osaro Onaiwu, the Group described His Majesty’s reign as a period marked by cultural renaissance, moral rebirth, and spiritual reawakening across the kingdom and beyond.
> “Your Majesty, under your wise, compassionate, and visionary reign, the Benin Kingdom has witnessed a renaissance of culture, moral rebirth, and spiritual reawakening,” the message read.
“You have continued the illustrious legacy of our forebears with uncommon grace, courage, and divine wisdom — restoring dignity to our heritage and inspiring unity among your subjects at home and in the diaspora.”
The statement further extolled the transformative leadership and divine guidance of Oba Ewuare II, noting that his reign has reconnected the people to the core values of discipline, respect, and communal pride that the ancient kingdom is renowned for.
> “As we celebrate this double milestone of life and kingship,” the message continued, “we pray that the Almighty and our ancestors continue to endow Your Majesty with boundless wisdom, robust health, and enduring peace. May your reign remain long, prosperous, and divinely guided — illuminating the path of progress for the Benin Nation and all of humanity.”
The Benin Summit Group, a non-political and non-partisan body devoted to promoting unity and development in the Benin Kingdom, reaffirmed its loyalty and devotion to the royal throne, describing His Majesty as “a beacon of hope and continuity in an era that demands cultural grounding and visionary leadership.”
