The Nigeria Police Force has announced the nationwide deployment of rapid response teams to ensure tight security across all centers hosting the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The move is aimed at maintaining order, preventing malpractice, and safeguarding both candidates and officials throughout the examination period.
According to authorities, the security presence will include strategic patrols, surveillance, and swift intervention units positioned to respond to any emergencies or disruptions. The initiative reflects growing efforts to uphold the credibility and smooth conduct of examinations organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
Meanwhile, candidates scheduled to sit for the 2026 UTME have been advised to proceed with printing their examination slips, which contain essential details such as exam date, venue, and time. Officials stress that candidates must print and verify their slips early to avoid last-minute complications.
Candidates are also encouraged to adhere strictly to examination guidelines, arrive at their centers on time, and cooperate with security personnel to ensure a seamless process nationwide.
