Ginger, FCMB SheVentures Launch Programme To Scale Women Beauty Businesses

Ginger, a technology platform for beauty businesses, has partnered with FCMB SheVentures to unveil “Built to Last,” a year-long programme aimed at strengthening women-led beauty enterprises across Nigeria.

The initiative is designed to equip female entrepreneurs in the beauty and personal care industry with practical skills, business structure, and access to funding pathways, enabling them to scale operations and formalise their businesses.

According to the organisers, the programme will provide participants with hands-on training, financial literacy, and access to digital tools, alongside support in areas such as inventory management, logistics, and supplier networks.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ginger, Ejiro Enaohwo, said the collaboration seeks to address structural gaps that have historically limited the growth potential of women-led beauty ventures.

“The women powering the beauty economy already have the demand, the discipline, and the customer trust. What they have not always had are the systems that recognise their businesses as investable and scalable. This partnership is about building those systems,” she said.

SheVentures is a flagship initiative of First City Monument Bank focused on women’s economic empowerment. The programme aligns with its broader objective of driving inclusive growth through targeted support for female entrepreneurs.

“At SheVentures, we believe empowering women entrepreneurs is one of the fastest ways to drive sustainable economic development. Through our initiatives, we have provided funding, training and mentorship to thousands of women-owned businesses across Nigeria. ‘Built to Last’ represents another step forward in equipping female entrepreneurs—particularly in the beauty sector—with the knowledge, capital readiness and networks they need to scale their businesses successfully,” FCMB stated.

Industry observers note that while women dominate Africa’s beauty market, many businesses still face challenges such as limited access to capital, inadequate training, and lack of formal business structures.

The “Built to Last” programme is expected to bridge these gaps by combining Ginger’s operational expertise in the beauty value chain with SheVentures’ financial and entrepreneurial support framework.

Applications for the programme are now open to beauty entrepreneurs across Nigeria, including salon owners, retailers, aestheticians, and startups. Interested applicants can apply online, with the deadline set for May 10, 2026.

    To apply, visit: http://www.gingerme.io/builttolast

Successful participants will gain access to structured mentorship, capacity-building sessions, and opportunities to position their businesses for future investment and expansion.
