Ruth Kadiri unveils how she was able to get at spectacular million subscribers using foreign language.
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has narrated the remarkable story behind her French-language YouTube channel, saying that the idea came through what she described as divine inspiration, despite her initial lack of knowledge of the language.
She made the revelation while reflecting on the journey that led to the creation of a platform that has now grown into a major online success with over one million subscribers.
The actress said that the inspiration came shortly after the birth of her daughter in London, when she felt a strong inner prompting to start a French YouTube channel even though she did not speak French.
According to her, the idea initially made no logical sense, but she recognised what she believed to be spiritual guidance based on previous experiences in her life.
She recalled that she initially struggled to execute the idea, as she searched for translators to help bring the project to life, but encountered multiple setbacks along the way.
The actress said she was disappointed after one attempt failed, claiming she lost money to a translator who disappeared, which made her temporarily abandon the idea.
However, she noted that the situation changed unexpectedly when she was later approached by someone willing to support the project in French content production.
Kadiri said the opportunity eventually aligned perfectly, allowing her to revive the idea and move forward with the channel successfully.
The Ruth Kadiri French YouTube channel has since grown rapidly, attracting a large international audience and surpassing the one million subscriber milestone.
Reflecting on the experience, she described the journey as a testament to what she believes are divine plans that often differ from human expectations.
