The Nigeria Revenue Service, in collaboration with the Joint Revenue Board (JRB), has announced the implementation of a new Taxpayer Identification (Tax ID) system for all taxable persons in the country. The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has lowered the price of jet fuel from N1,750 to N1,650 per litre.  Airlines in Nigeria had recently threatened to stop operations due to the rising cost of aviation fuel.
