The Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has extended the deadline for filing of individual annual tax returns by two weeks, from April 1 to April 14, 2026. In a statement issued on Monday, the Executive Chairman of LIRS, Dr. Ayodele Subair, explained that the statutory deadline for filing of individual annual tax returns is March 31 every year. He noted that the extension is intended to provide individuals with additional time to complete and submit accurate tax returns. Records have shown that African airlines had the strongest growth in global air cargo demand in February 2026, posting a 21 per cent year-on-year increase, according to data from the International Air Transport Association.
