This will feature women who have succeeded in various sectors thereby building resilient careers and redefining success in the modern workplace.

United Bank for Africa, UBA, is set to host a special edition of its quarterly Business Series aimed at celebrating and empowering Africa’s evolving generation of female leaders as part of activities marking Women’s Month.

The event, themed “Gen W – The Evolved Woman,” will hold on March 12, 2026, at UBA House in Lagos and will feature prominent female entrepreneurs and professionals who will share insights on leadership, innovation and personal growth in today’s rapidly changing business environment.

According to the bank, the session will bring together accomplished women from different sectors to discuss strategies for navigating ambition, building resilient careers and redefining success in the modern workplace.

The event will also be streamed live across UBA’s digital platforms, allowing participants to attend either physically or virtually.

Among speakers expected at the forum are entrepreneur and founder of ORÍKÌ Group, Joycee Awosika; media personality and entrepreneur Tomike Adeoye; entrepreneur and founder of Fine Funky, Olufunke Davies; and award-winning broadcaster Ayo Mario‑Ese.

The conversation will be moderated by media personality and actor Tobi Bakre.

Panelists are expected to share their personal journeys and perspectives on navigating professional spaces, building businesses, embracing authenticity and redefining leadership in a fast-evolving global economy.

Speaking ahead of the event, UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, said the special edition of the Business Series reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting women and recognising their role in driving economic growth and innovation across Africa.

She said the initiative is designed to create a platform for meaningful conversations around leadership, ambition and opportunities for women.

“The modern African woman is evolving in remarkable ways. She is bold, visionary and intentional about the spaces she occupies. Through this edition of the UBA Business Series, we want to celebrate women while creating a platform for conversations around leadership, ambition and opportunity,” Ladipo said.

The quarterly UBA Business Series has emerged as a knowledge-sharing platform aimed at equipping entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders with insights, tools and strategies required to grow sustainable businesses and adapt to an increasingly competitive business landscape.

With more than 25,000 employees and over 45 million customers worldwide, UBA operates in 20 African countries, as well as the United Kingdom, the United States, France and the United Arab Emirates, providing retail, commercial and institutional banking services while advancing financial inclusion across its markets.
