‘How Gbajabiamila saved ASUU from proscription’
Outgoing chairman of the House Committee on Tertiary Education, Hon. Aminu Suleiman, said on Wednesday that outgoing Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila saved the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) from proscription during the union’s nine-month stroke action.
Speaking at the valedictory session for the House, Suleiman said the Speaker never wanted the incident made public but insisted he has to say so for the incoming Speaker will know that it is not get Uhuru
He said during the strike, Gbajabiamila called for a meeting with the leadership of ASUU where far-reaching decisions were taken.
