Niger to empower 30,000 farmers with tools
ASHENEWS reports that the Niger state governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago says that the state government would support 30,000 farmers with inputs.
Bago stated this on Thursday while speaking at a two-day retreat organized for Commissioners, SSAs, Local Government Council Chairmen, and House of Assembly members in Suleja.
A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Bologi Ibrahim said that the goods, including fertilizers and other agro-allied chemicals, will be distributed to the beneficiaries next week.
The governor noted that the state government remains resolute in improving the agriculture sector in the state and will provide all the necessary facilities for farmers to boost the sector.
