70th Birthday: Celebrating Pastor Paul Morayo Tao-El-Shaddai, A Life of Music, Faith and Service
As we commemorate the milestone of Pastor Paul Morayo Tao-El-Shaddai’s 70 years on this earth, it is impossible not to be struck by the extraordinary journey this man has undertaken. Born on June 29, 1954, his life story reads like a testament to divine providence, passion, and unwavering faith.
From a young age, Pastor Paul’s life was touched by the divine. At the tender age of five, he had a heavenly encounter following a brush with death, setting him on a path of spiritual discovery that would shape his entire existence. By nine, he was already mastering the guitar, a skill bestowed upon him through celestial teachings.
His musical talents blossomed over the years, leading him to perform with renowned bands such as Jerry Cooper’s and Don Bruce’s. He co-founded several bands, leaving an indelible mark on the music scene, particularly with the “ROOTS FOUNDATION,” established under the patronage of the late Chief Olu AboderinHowever, it was his illustrious 25-year tenure with Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey & the Inter-Reformers Band that solidified his status as a musical icon.
But Pastor Paul’s journey was not solely defined by secular success. Despite numerous offers of fame and fortune from around the world, he chose to follow a higher calling, dedicating his life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. His transition from the glitz of the music industry to the solemnity of the pulpit is a testament to his unwavering faith and commitment to God’s will.
As a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Paul continues to spread the message of God’s love and grace. For over three decades, he has been an integral part of the RCCG Praise Team, leading congregations in worship and ushering in the presence of the Holy Spirit at every Holy Ghost Service.
Beyond his musical and pastoral duties, Pastor Paul is known for his profound love for humanity. His simple nature and accommodating demeanor have endeared him to countless individuals, particularly the youth whom he tirelessly mentors and inspires.
