An Abuja High Court in Apo has ordered the final forfeiture of billions of naira worth of assets linked to businesswoman, Aisha Achimugu, in favour of the Federal Government.
The order was issued on Thursday, July 16, 2026, by Justice Jude Onwugbuzie following an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which sought the permanent forfeiture of the assets.
Among the forfeited properties are jewellery valued at ₦4.645 billion, 11 luxury vehicles worth ₦4.293 billion, $50,000 in cash, and ₦30 million in cash.
The EFCC had asked the court to grant a final forfeiture order after concluding legal proceedings on the assets, which the commission linked to Achimugu.
Justice Onwugbuzie, while delivering judgment, granted the anti-graft agency’s request, ordering that all the listed assets be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government.
The court’s ruling marks the conclusion of the forfeiture proceedings concerning the high-value properties and cash linked to the businesswoman.
The EFCC has maintained that the forfeited assets formed part of its ongoing efforts to recover assets suspected to be connected to unlawful activities, with the court’s decision giving the Federal Government legal ownership of the recovered items.
The judgment was contained in the ruling delivered by Justice Onwugbuzie on Thursday at the Abuja High Court in Apo.
