Lagos has begun training workers to enhance service.
The Lagos State Ministry of Establishments and Training has commenced a capacity-building programme for public servants.
The training, scheduled to run through mid-May 2025 at various centres in Ikeja, includes a series of workshops aimed at strengthening the capacity of the state’s workforce and equipping them for the evolving demands of public service.
In a statement shared with Saturday PUNCH, the Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Afolabi Ayantayo, said the initiative was part of the ministry’s continuous drive to reposition the public service through knowledge enhancement and leadership development.
He stated that the capacity and competence of the public service remained central to the delivery of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s development agenda.
Ayantayo noted, “These training sessions are carefully curated to address both current and future competencies required of public officers in Lagos State.
“This training cycle is not only about improving skill, but about cultivating a dynamic mindset that aligns with the values of innovation, collaboration, and excellent service delivery.”
