Sanwo-Olu, Bago, Olanipekun set for UK Africa Leadership Awards
Leadership Award – The Governors of Lagos, Niger and Ondo states; Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Mohammed Bago and Lucky Aiyedatiwa respectively are among distinguished African leaders and influencers set to be honoured in London, United Kingdom, at the Triangle Face of Africa Leadership Award.
Some of those to be honoured include a legal luminary and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN; Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; Minister of Youth, Ayodele Olawande; Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri; Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (Abia North); and President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, among others.
The Triangle Face of Africa Leadership Award is a prestigious event dedicated to celebrating excellence in leadership and the enduring spirit of African heritage.
In a statement on Friday, the award ceremony, organised by Triangle News International, is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025, at noon in the RHB 300 Hall of Goldsmiths, University of London.
The Chief Executive Officer of Triangle, Olufemi Salako, said the award recognised visionary individuals who had exemplified leadership, integrity, and transformative impact across the African continent.
“This is about celebrating the African heritage, spotlighting those who inspire and transform communities through leadership,” Salako stated.
