NNPC Limited Appreciates Host Community, Gives Latest On Escravos-Lagos Pipeline Incident

NNPC Limited has given the latest on the recent happening to one of its pipelines namely the Escravos-Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) in South-West Warri, Delta State. The incident, which occurred on December 11, 2025, has been successfully contained, ensuring the safety of host communities, personnel, and the environment.

Megastarmagazine reported that coordinated containment measures have been put in place, and all relevant pipeline sections have been safely and securely attended to. A joint preliminary inspection has been conducted at the affected site, involving NNPC Limited, the Nigeria Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) technical teams, and maintenance contractors.

Likewise, NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company (NGIC), the operator of the network, has activated its Business Continuity Plan to manage the impact on all affected stakeholders, including shippers and suppliers. NNPC Limited remains committed to maintaining open communication with host communities, state authorities, and other critical stakeholders.
