The House of Representatives has pledged to provide strong legislative backing to Nigerians through impactful policies in 2025. Speaker Tajudeen Abbas highlighted the challenges faced in 2024 but celebrated the resilience of the Nigerian people who overcame these trials.
In a New Year address delivered by the House’s spokesman, Akin Rotimi, Abbas expressed optimism for the year ahead and stressed the importance of continued unity and support for leaders at all levels.
“We have every reason to celebrate as we welcome 2025, thanks to the grace of our Creator who allowed us to experience a successful 2024. Looking ahead, I am confident that we will see transformative changes as we rally behind the leadership of President Bola Tinubu,” Abbas said.
The Speaker reiterated the House’s commitment to advancing policies that prioritize the welfare of Nigerians, in line with the Legislative Agenda (2023–2027). The focus will remain on key areas including security, economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and social justice.
