The St. Charles College Onitsha Old Boys Association, Class of 2001, has officially announced plans to celebrate its 25th anniversary following graduation, marking a significant milestone of brotherhood, impact, and legacy.
This announcement was made during a press briefing held on April 18, 2026, at St. Charles College, Onitsha, by the Chairman of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Mr. Chukwuebuka Anyaduba, alongside members of his team. The highly anticipated celebration is scheduled to take place on January 2nd and 3rd, 2027, and is designed as a weekend-long event filled with commemorative activities and impactful initiatives.
Speaking at the briefing, Mr. Anyaduba highlighted that the anniversary will go beyond celebration, focusing on giving back to the institution that shaped them. He revealed that the Class of 2001 will embark on several legacy projects, including the establishment of scholarships for WAEC and JAMB candidates, awards for outstanding students, and ICT support initiatives aimed at enhancing learning within the college.
The Founding President of the association, Mr. Chigozie Nwachuya, emphasized the importance of the gathering, noting that it serves as a model of unity, responsibility, and gratitude. He expressed hope that such initiatives would inspire younger graduates to remain connected to their roots and contribute meaningfully to the development of their alma mater.
Also present at the press briefing were key members of the planning committee, including Gerald Arinze, Ogochukwu Umunna, Okechukwu Oguama, and Walter Okeke, all of whom reiterated their commitment to delivering a memorable and impactful anniversary celebration.
In his remarks, the Reverend Father in charge of St. Charles College, Rev. Fr. Gabriel Onochirionye, commended the Class of 2001 for their thoughtfulness and dedication in remembering their alma mater.
