Thousands of residents of Osun and its surrounding States and beyond are expected to benefit from this year’s edition of Liberty 2023 which will commence on October 25th and end on October 29.

The Programme, which will be held at the Osogbo Township Stadium daily, will feature empowerment programme, medical and surgical treatments, skill acquisition and spiritual meals.

Addressing newsmen in Osogbo on Friday, the Conference Pastor of New Covenant Church, Osogbo Conference, Reverend Dr Olufunso Ajibode revealed that the Church has plans to host no fewer than five thousand people at this year’s edition.

Ajibode said, “The goal of Liberty as is implied from the name is to set people free, set whole families, communities, villages, towns and cities free from bondage to sin, sicknesses, diseases, poverty, lack, e.t.c.

“Since 1999, we have gone from village to village, town to town and city to city. We have established 2 free schools in Oyo State, sunk 16 wells, built several churches. did agricultural and business empowerment and medical surgeries (eye & general) for many who needed them.

“This year 2023, Osogbo City is blessed and privileged through the New Covenant Church Osogbo Conference to host this year’s outreach.”

While giving the breakdown of the event, Reverend Ajibode said the empowerment programme will involve skill acquisition for youths and women who are in need.

He added that medical personnel and surgeons will be on ground to attend different ailments while free corrective glasses will also be available for people who desire it.

The Church called on residents of the State and its surrounding States to come and attend the 5-day event.

“Our invitation is open to all regardless of religion, denomination or tribe. So far, you’re a human being, you’re welcome to Liberty 2023,” Reverend Ajibode said.
