A sales brochure produced by US investment bank Citigroup is being circulated to prospective buyers as the club seeks new investors.
Leicester City have been put up for sale by their Thai owners, King Power, after 16 years of ownership, with the group reportedly seeking more than £200 million for the club.
As reported by BBC Sport on Thursday, a sales brochure produced by US investment bank Citigroup is being circulated to prospective buyers as the club seeks new investors.
The eight-page document, titled “Project Lineup”, lists Leicester City, the club’s women’s team and other major assets, including the 32,000-capacity King Power Stadium and the Seagrave training facility.
Leicester’s Belgian sister club, OH Leuven, is also included among the assets being offered for sale.
The brochure values the club’s physical assets at more than £200 million, although no specific figure has been attached to the sale of its men’s and women’s teams.
Citigroup described the sale as “a rare opportunity to acquire a club with an excellent track record of winning promotions to higher divisions.”
The brochure highlights Leicester’s historic achievements, including their remarkable 2016 Premier League title triumph and FA Cup victory in 2021.
However, the document does not mention the club’s current position in League One following successive relegations from the Premier League and Championship.
It also projects Leicester’s turnover at more than £97 million for the 2026 financial year.
The sales material, however, does not include details of the club’s recent financial losses or debts. Leicester’s 2025 accounts showed £103.6 million in bank loans, while the club reportedly lost more than £180 million during a period that saw them suffer two Premier League relegations in three years between 2023 and 2025.
King Power, owned by the Srivaddhanaprabha family, bought Leicester City from Milan Mandaric for £35 million in 2010.
Khun Aiyawatt “Top” Srivaddhanaprabha is the current chairman of the club, having succeeded his father, Khun Vichai, who died in a helicopter crash outside the King Power Stadium in 2018.
Reports of a possible sale first emerged in July, but the circulation of the sales brochure provides confirmation that the club is actively seeking new investors.
The development comes amid growing frustration among Leicester supporters over the club’s decline in recent seasons.
Leicester were relegated from the Championship last season and will begin their latest campaign in the third tier under manager Russell Martin.
Despite their recent struggles, the club is being marketed as one of only five English clubs to have won the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup since 2000.
The brochure also highlights Leicester’s academy and scouting structure, describing the club as having a strong talent pipeline capable of producing top players.
The club recently sold academy graduate Jeremy Monga to Manchester City for £10 million.
Leicester City declined to comment on the sales brochure when contacted by BBC Sport.
