Renowned Nigerian evangelist and filmmaker, Mike Bamiloye, has cautioned individuals against criticizing spiritual leaders, warning of potential severe consequences tied to such actions.

In a post shared on his official X account, Bamiloye used biblical examples to illustrate the dangers of disrespecting spiritual authorities.

He referenced the story of Michal, Saul’s daughter, from 2 Samuel 6:16 and 6:23. Michal mocked King David for his dance of worship before God, which resulted in her being childless for the rest of her life—a divine punishment despite David not cursing her.

Bamiloye stated, “Some people have carried unnecessary curses they ought not to have carried in the first place. Why? Because they insulted genuine men of God who carry fires meant for the devil.”

He warned that holding all spiritual leaders in contempt due to the faults of a few is unwise, saying, “Some men of God may disappoint you, but this does not justify despising and insulting every man of God you encounter. It is a very dangerous venture.”

Concluding his message, he cautioned, “Some people are always looking for an excuse to talk against men of God. Fear for your future!”
