The national body of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP) witnessed a landmark election today, September 28, 2024, at the Ojez Hotel event hall in Ebute Metta, Lagos. Under the careful supervision of the Association of Movie Producers Electoral Committee (AMPEC), the elections were carried out smoothly, adhering to all rules and guidelines. The atmosphere in the event hall was electric, as producers from across the country gathered to participate in the democratic process, culminating in the election of a new national executive body.

Former presidents Ralph Nwadike and Paul Obazele were also present, lending their support to the democratic process.

Emeka Ossai, Elder Sam Azubuike, Fidelis Dukker, Lillian Amah-Aluko, and Franca Brown were also among the distinguished guests. Representatives from the Censors Board were in attendance as well, reflecting the importance of the occasion not just for the AMP but for Nollywood as a whole.
