Mr & Miss Nigeria International Pageant to Light Up Akwa Ibom in Grand Celebration of Beauty, Culture, and Empowerment

The 13th edition of the prestigious Mr & Miss Nigeria International (MMNI) pageant is set to take centre stage in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, from October 8th to 20th, 2024. This year’s event promises to be a spectacular showcase of Nigerian heritage, creativity, and beauty.

According to CEO Amb. Dr. Brendan Nsikak, production coordinator Sunday Christian Okereke, and Bob Cal, CEO of FETV NY, MMNI has been a beacon of excellence in the beauty pageant industry for 12 editions, promoting cultural diversity, unity, and empowerment. As Nigeria’s first and only mixed beauty pageant, MMNI continues to raise the bar by providing a platform for individuals to celebrate their identity.

Over the years, MMNI has seen immense success, with winners representing Nigeria on the international stage and bringing pride to the nation. The pageant has expanded its scope, partnering with relevant MDAs of the Akwa Ibom State Government to ensure world-class management and expertise.

This year’s edition will be held at the venerable IBOM HALL, IBB Avenue, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, and promises to showcase talent, creativity, and unity. Contestants from across Nigeria will compete in various categories, including beauty, brains, and brawn.

In a bid to create more opportunities within Nigeria’s creative industry, MMNI is partnering with FETV New York to bring the first-ever Fashion Entertainment Reality TV Show to Uyo, Nigeria’s trending capital for tourism, hospitality, and leisure.

The 13th edition of MMNI aims to expand the creative industry in Akwa Ibom State, grow Nigeria’s influence in global pageantry, modelling, and fashion, and promote inclusivity and transparency. This is where FETV – New York comes in.

Fashion and tourism blend beautifully, offering a gateway to cultural exploration and aesthetic appreciation. The proposed fashion reality show, FETV Hub Akwa Ibom, will spotlight the state’s rich fashion heritage while promoting tourism. From vibrant handcrafted fashion to experimental designs, Akwa Ibom offers a treasure trove of cultural-fashion riches waiting to be explored.

FETV Hub Akwa Ibom will be a captivating television initiative that combines the allure of fashion with the adventure of travel. Each episode will showcase the unique fashion culture of Akwa Ibom, highlighting its designers, artisans, and the stories behind their creations. Viewers will journey through scenic beaches, five-star resorts, and urban fashion hubs, immersing themselves in the beauty and diversity of Akwa Ibom’s tourism landscapes.

FETV Hub will feature fashion enthusiasts passionate about both fashion and travel, engaging with local designers, models, and celebrities to uncover the hidden gems of Akwa Ibom’s fashion scene.

Strategic partnerships with global channels will ensure FETV Hub reaches diverse audiences across continents, sparking interest and curiosity about Akwa Ibom State and igniting conversations about its beauty, culture, and potential. The international broadcast will enhance Akwa Ibom’s visibility on the global stage, attracting tourists, investors, and cultural enthusiasts alike, and inspiring viewers to explore the state for themselves.

With its innovative approach, FETV Hub positions Akwa Ibom State to benefit from increased global visibility, positively impacting tourism, economic growth, and cultural exchange.

The MMNI pageant is a dynamic tool, strategically crafted to inspire the next generation of leaders, role models, social influencers, and celebrities by promoting diversity, inclusion, and empowerment.

Amb. Dr. Brendan Nsikak, Sunday Christian Okereke, and Bob Cal remain committed to making this edition of MMNI the most memorable yet, as they prepare to celebrate beauty, culture, and creativity in Akwa Ibom State.
