AFRICA’S FIRST AND LARGEST HUMANITARIAN FAIR SET TO HOLD IN LAGOS

Elgee Info Media, in collaboration with numerous humanitarian organizations across Africa, is proud to announce the Africa Humanitarian Fair, the continent’s first and largest humanitarian-focused event. This groundbreaking initiative will take place on January 24, 2024, at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

Venue: National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria

Theme: Empathy in Action: A Shared Responsibility

    Date: January 24, 2024

As a prelude to the highly anticipated African Humanitarian Awards 2025, the humanitarian fair serves as a platform for government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and foundations to provide much-needed support to underprivileged communities. The event’s theme, Empathy in Action: A Shared Responsibility, underscores the collective effort required to address the continent’s humanitarian challenges.

Speaking about the upcoming event, Mr. Samuel Akinyemi, CEO of Elgee Info Media and convener of the African Humanitarian Awards, remarked:

“Unlike regular trade fairs where money exchanges hands for goods and services, the humanitarian fair will be a marketplace of compassion, where love is exchanged for acts of kindness. This event embodies the true spirit of Ubuntu – ‘I am because we are.’”

“This is a call to action for organizations, government agencies, NGOs, and every well-meaning individual to unite and demonstrate their support for the vulnerable in our society. This fair is not just about giving but about connecting with others through acts of love and compassion.” with provisions of variety of charitable services and donations, including:

    • Distribution of food items, clothing, and books

    • Free medical checkups and treatments

    • Provision of wheelchairs and other mobility aids

The event aims to foster collaboration among humanitarian organizations, raise awareness of pressing social issues, and inspire individuals and groups to contribute towards a more empathetic and equitable society.

The Africa Humanitarian Fair is a call to action for all Africans to unite in compassion and service to humanity. Attendance is free, and members of the public are encouraged to participate actively at their capacity levels, making a tangible impact on the lives of those in need.
