The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap, represented by Deputy Comptroller General Augusta Obiageli, has commended the infrastructure and human capital development at the EIB Group following an inspection tour of the company’s facilities in Kuje and Idu, Abuja. The high-level delegation visit, which took place on Friday, January 30, 2026, was designed to familiarize the Service with the group’s intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations while exploring potential areas for strategic collaboration. During the tour, the delegation was received by the Chairman of EIB Group, Dr. Bright Echefu, who guided the officials through several key operational units, including advanced surveillance services and forensic data-gathering solutions.
The inspection covered a wide range of specialized subsidiaries, including EIB Stratoc for security operations, Giga Forensics for evidence-based intelligence, and Briech UAS, which focuses on the manufacturing and deployment of surveillance and payload drones. Dr. Echefu emphasized the company’s dedication to national security, stating that EIB Group remains “committed to supporting government institutions through innovation, professionalism and strategic partnerships.” He further noted that private sector participation is essential for strengthening institutional capacity and that the group’s operations align with global best practices to bolster both domestic and cross-country security architectures.
In her response, Mrs. Nandap praised the organization’s investment in technology and human capacity, describing the facilities as reflective of a forward-looking entity. She noted that the tour provided valuable insight into how private sector initiatives could complement government efforts, particularly regarding technology and service delivery. The visit also included a tour of Poctova, a brand specializing in ballistic protective gear, and Luft TV, the group’s Pay TV infrastructure. The engagement concluded with interactive sessions where both parties discussed sustained engagement and the integration of technology to enhance Nigeria’s broader security framework.
