W.O.W Africa Will Host Continental Gathering of Africa’s Most Influential Women
Sandton, Johannesburg – The Pan-African platform W.O.W Africa (Workshops of Wealth) is poised to convene a powerful assembly of fifty of the continent’s most impactful women leaders in Sandton this March, reports Seunmanuel Faleye. This bold initiative by W.O.W Africa is designed to catalyse shared leadership and collective economic advancement.
Scheduled for March 7 and 9, the two-day gathering will centre on the prestigious ‘W.O.W Africa 50 Women Honours’ and a strategic, closed-door dialogue among founding members. This move signals W.O.W Africa’s deliberate effort towards institutionalising collaborative female influence across African markets.
On Saturday, 7 March, the eve of International Women’s Day, the inaugural W.O.W Africa honours ceremony will recognise fifty women from diverse sectors. The selection criteria, W.O.W Africa organisers stress, are rooted not in popularity but in demonstrable impact, endurance, and contribution.
“The convening reflects W.O.W Africa’s emphasis on intracontinental collaboration, with women leaders shaping economic narratives beyond borders,” a statement noted. The timing strategically positions W.O.W Africa at the forefront of the global gender and economic conversation.
In a significant follow-up on Monday, 9 March, the ‘W.O.W Africa 100 Founding Members Breakfast Convening’ will take place. Described by W.O.W Africa as a “strategic, founding dialogue,” this high-level chamber will bring together honourees, investors, and professionals to forge a framework for shared influence and wealth creation.
“This is about W.O.W Africa moving from recognition to collective economic power,” the briefing document outlines, encapsulating the core belief that Africa advances faster when women build together.
The W.O.W Africa platform was founded by South African entrepreneur Lelo N to centre the collective economic voice of African women. “W.O.W Africa exists to amplify shared influence, not individual dominance,” Lelo N stated.
Highlighting its inclusive mission, W.O.W Africa also announced the ‘W.O.W Africa 50 Men’ convening on 6 June 2026, reflecting its belief that sustainable growth is built through partnership.
The events are presented by The Lelo N Foundation and The House of W.O.W, underscoring W.O.W Africa’s commitment to African excellence and legacy leadership.
