Perez drinks in 152 pubs in 24 hours, wins Guinness World Record for most visited
Buenos Aires native Martin Perez has smashed a wild new title for the history books — and perhaps the most epic hangover on record — after visiting 152 pubs in just 24 hours, making a new Guinness World Record for the most pubs visited in 24 hours.

He started his quest at 7:00 p.m. on 14 March and finished precisely at 6:59 p.m. the next day, the Argentine tore through Buenos Aires’s nightlife districts with a precise plan, unwavering stamina, and deep affection for his city.
He was dressed in a black vest tagged “I love BA (Buenos Aires).
GWR disclosed this in a detailed release on its website on Friday, June 20, 2025.
“This record attempt was a personal tribute to the city I love and where I was born and still live.
“I believe Buenos Aires is one of the most exciting cities in the world, with an outstanding gastronomic and nightlife culture. I saw this challenge as a unique way to show the world how vibrant and extraordinary my city,” said Martin.
The previous record of 120 pubs, held by David Clarkson of Sydney, Australia, was shattered as Martin surged past his initial goal of 140.
He wrapped up his feat with drink number 152 in Núñez, after trekking through iconic neighborhoods like Recoleta, Palermo Soho, Colegiales, San Telmo, and Belgrano, GWR noted.
Applicants don’t need to consume alcohol at each stop — any drink meeting the 125 ml minimum is allowed — but Martin’s feat still required careful logistics.
His strategy included a car service, public notaries to verify receipts, and rotating witnesses on four-hour shifts. Among them was Yamil Santoro, a Deputy of the City of Buenos Aires, who joined to celebrate local culture and cheer Martin on.
“Of course, applicants don’t need to order an alcoholic drink at every establishment – any drinks are allowed, as long as they meet the minimum 125 ml (0.2 pints),” an acknowledgement on the GWR website stated.
Guinness World Records confirmed the feat on 20 June 2025, hailing Martin’s effort as a remarkable blend of endurance, patriotism, and Buenos Aires nightlife spirit.
“Congratulations, Martin — cheers to a record that’s truly hard to top,” GWR wrote on its website.
