In a development that has captivated the Nigerian social media space, Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh and her former husband, businessman Olakunle Churchill, have officially announced a reconciliation, ending ten years of high-profile legal battles and public hostility. The breakthrough was made public via separate emotional statements shared on their respective social media platforms over the weekend of January 24–25, 2026.

Tonto Dikeh, who described the reconciliation as a “divine restoration,” attributed the end of the conflict to spiritual growth and a commitment to her faith. “After ten long years of public battles, deep wounds, and pain, God stepped in,” Dikeh wrote. She noted that the move was not achieved through human strength but through a shared desire to prioritize the well-being of their son, King Andre. The actress specifically expressed gratitude to Churchill for “choosing the path of peace” and acknowledged the restoration of mutual respect between them.

Responding to the announcement, Olakunle Churchill revealed that the reconciliation led to a deeply emotional milestone: receiving a phone call from his son, who addressed him as “Daddy” for the first time in years. “What God cannot do does not exist,” Churchill posted, echoing a popular religious sentiment. He further clarified the nature of their new relationship, stating, “The conflict is behind us. We are now focused on co-parenting with love, care, and a shared commitment to raising our son.” He also publicly commended Dikeh, calling her an “amazing mother” and praising her dedication to their child.

The news has drawn significant reactions from industry peers and the public. Popular On-Air Personality Do2dtun described the actress’s step toward forgiveness as “the hardest thing to do,” stating that his respect for her had risen immensely given the difficulty of such a public truce. While many fans have celebrated the development as a “miracle” for the sake of their son, others remain focused on whether this signals a total cessation of the legal disputes that have characterized their relationship since their 2017 divorce.

As of Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the former couple has maintained that their focus remains strictly on collaborative parenting, marking a definitive shift away from the “online mudslinging” that has defined their narrative for the past decade.
